At Advance Personnel we are always organising or planning an event be it for our internal staff, people registered with us, helping the community or just for shared fun. We believe all our events either big or small signify Australian values of unity, equality and diversity. Below are some of the recent and past events we all were part of.
Marketing Event, 2013
Advance Personnel organised their yearly 'Employer Marketing Event' on 30th June, 2013 at Regatta Point. It was a successful event which was attended by our board members, staff, employers, workers and other stakeholders. The aim of the event was to thank our employers for their continuous support and motivation. Without these supportive employers, many people registered with Advance Personnel would not have had the opportunity to secure sustainable and meaningful employment.
Kate Hamilton (CEO, Advance Personnel), along with the ACT Minster for Disability, Joy Burch, presented the employers with certificates in recognition of their support and creating successful employment opportunities for Advance Personnel's jobseekers. The night was attended by a wide spectrum of current and potential employers, who along with our staff discussed the current ACT employment market and collaboration.
Below are business partners who received our Awards:
Employers Awards for supporting Advance Personnel: (recognising the support that these businesses have given Advance Personnel)
Barb Mills (Dept. of Health and Aging)
ACT Chief Minister's/Inclusion Award:
Dept. Finance & Deregulation (finalist)
Dept. of Health and Aging (finalist)
Melbourne Cup Day, 2013
Melbourne Cup Day is one of Australia's most popular social and racing events. Undoubtedly it's one of the biggest social events for Advance Personnel staff as well. It's the one day of the year where we let our hair down and spend some quality time together. The staff got dressed up in their best and brightest and converged on Thoroughbred Park to celebrate Melbourne Cup day in style. For some it was a day to relax and unwind in the sun and for our racing enthusiasts it was time to make some money, just to be in line with the Melbourne Cup tradition. Congratulations to those who won and to the rest, better luck next time! Thanks everyone for being part of this tradition!
RSPCA Cupcake day, 2013
Advance Personnel staff organised the RSPCA Cupcake day on 19th August, 2013. The aim of the event was to raise funds to create awareness among the staff about animal cruelty and raise funds to provide animal accommodation in and around ACT. The organisers among the staff made delicious cupcakes which were enjoyed by one and all. The event was a success as staff raised funds that were donated to RSPCA.
PINK RIBBON Breakfast
Advance Personnel have hosted an annual Pink Ribbon Breakfast since 2008. In this time we have raised over $2000 towards Breast Cancer research. These breakfasts have been very popular with staff and our neighbours.
